At 9:00 am, your English speaking driver-guide picks you up at your hotel or appartment in Lyon or close suburbs for a private wine tour to the Beaujolais wine country - North area.
Start this wine journey travelling on the beautiful Beaujolais "Route des Vins" and with your guide learn about the "terroir" (french philosphy for wine), history, geography and the different characteristics of the Beaujolais wines appellations.
Drive through "Moulin-à-Vent" Crus, represended by its emblematic windmill from the 15th century surrounded by vineyards. In this area of Beaujolais, vines grow on granit soils with veins of Manganese which gives more tannic and deeper wines.
