Guided tour of Cote de Beaune region, Kingdom of Chardonnay & Wine-tasting at a family winery:
At 8:00 am, your English speaking driver-guide picks you up at your hotel or appartment in Lyon city or close suburbs for a wine private tour to Burgundy region.
After a transfer of 1h30 approx. discover Cotes de Beaune wine country, homeland of the world famous Chardonnay grape.
Take the Burgundy Route des Grands Crus and cross the famous wine villages of Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault, Volnay & Pommard. With your private guide, learn about the "terroir" philosophy, the different soils characteristics and how works the wine ranking from Regional to Grand Crus wines.
Then stop to a family winery for a visit. Learn some secrets about wine-making and the art of barrel aging before catching the essence of several Chardonnay & Pinot Noir wines through a wine-tasting of 5-6 wines.

Delight yourself with a delicious meal in the magnificent city of Beaune in a local restaurant which serves typical Burgundy cuisine. Your privqte guide will be happy to translate and explain all the different courses for you! Lunch is not included.
Afternoon
Visit of Cote de Nuits Vineyards, Kingdom of Pinot Noir & Wine-tasting at 2 Burgundy wineries:
After lunch, follow this private wine excursion in Burgundy with a walk till the Hospices de Beaune building. Admire this masterpiece of Flemish-influenced architecture which become one of the most famous emblem of Burgundy region.
Then, drive North and go through Côte de Nuits vineyards, the homeland of Pinot Noir grape. Cross Nuits-St-Georges, Vosne-Romanée, Chambolle-Musigny, Gevrey-Chambertin town. Make a stop near the world known Clos Vougeot and with your guide learn about its history and origins.
Then, push the door of two Cote de Nuits burgundy wineries and taste at each 5-6 more beautiful wines including at least one Grand Crus. Enjoy the complexity and the finess of sublime Pinot Noir wines and the freshness and minerality of Chardonnays.
